Parameshwari who is now residing in Colombo due to personal security reasons told the Daily Mirror last night that the gang had assaulted her father and hit one of her sisters who had fallen unconscious.

The incident had however been informed to the Gampola police which had immediately arrived at the scene and taken action to rush the injured to hospital.

According to Parameshwari a person in the area had instigated the gang saying her family was supporting the LTTE. Similar incidents of assault and threats had taken place during the past few months since she was taken into custody by the TID.

“Some people have personally threatened to burn me up alive if I return to my hometown again,” she said

And what is the police doing to arrest the culprits for this? Or are they going to go free for breaking the law? Remember that no proof have been found for the accusations against Parameshwari that she would be linked to LTTE. If the TID could not present any proof for this, then she should be considered not guilty and some racist thugs should not be allowed to take the law in their own hands. It is the police duty to arrest this mob members, so lets get on with the works constables!
