JVP Politics : Is it Marxism or Masksism?

"These JVP jokers who heinously kept away from voting and chose to support the government at the budget are today, just two months later, protesting against the high cost of living."

(February 20, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) That JVP's political power base is in anarchy, poverty, corruption and unrest among youth and in society as a whole is obvious.

Capitalism the JVP says, is the enemy of the masses and the cause of all economic end social ills in Sri Lanka. They analyse and criticise it in debates through the media, presenting the points in support of their views on the subject as if there are no other experts in the world - to attract the down trodden, suffering masses.

All the JVP's past actions as a political party adopted since its birth were aimed at creating chaos in society. The numerous sabotage actions taken through their Inter Trade and Inter University Student Union arms were all purposely designed to create chaos and frustration in society as a whole.

The 2004 UNP government, which showed some signs of stability and was leading the country towards peace, was toppled due to a plot of the JVP with the then president playing along, plunging the country to today's messy situation.

When the UNP was in power, the JVPers were seen at Lipton Circus almost every day, shouting slogans demanding justice to their vote base - the poor masses and unemployed graduates etc. But now, it is altogether a different game plan they have adopted, which sounds something like; 'Heads we win and Tails you lose,' to cheat the public.

They see the Rajapakse regime, which they schemed and brought to power is now a total failure and hanging on desperately with the beating of war drums for survival but yet they do nothing. Supported by greedy capitalists they together with the government enjoy life at public expense, with nothing to show as having been done for the betterment of the country.

A wife of one of the top 'good samaritan-poor loving' JVP hypocrites is seen driving around in a luxury car. No wonder then that having come out against the government at the budget debate, vehemently 'protesting and criticising' the rampant corruption and wastage, at the final voting, they shattered all hopes and gave oxygen to the present regime.

These JVP jokers who heinously kept away from voting and chose to support the government at the budget are today, just two months later, protesting against the high cost of living.

When the UNP began its agitation campaign against the government as a responsible opposition, the JVP parasites too took to the streets shouting slogans demanding to bring down the cost of living knowing very well that it is the single most important issue.

At the same time they are demanding war knowing very well that it drains off all the country's resources, creating more and more social and economic problems.

It is certainly a part of the JVP's political agenda from its inception to create chaos in society to attempt a third armed struggle to capture power by force as warned by their one time comrade Nandana Gunathileka himself recently.
