Under corporate management, Mervyn Silva’s conduct is culpable of instant dismissal from his post. He then has the right to appeal and put his case to plead his innocence.
Invasion of Mervyn Silva into the Rupavahini TV station and his violent behaviour surmount to summary dismissal, not only as Minister and also loosing his parliamentary membership. This could only happen when there is good governance and responsible behaviour of a government and its leader. Instead, we hear even the guardian of law – the police, have been hijacked to produce shady witness reports to prevent the goon minister getting fair justice in the Courts.
Further reports in the news media confirm, the President is questioning the Rupavahini TV for giving live coverage of the thug minister’s rowdy behaviour. In addition, his instructions not to telecast the events further, confirm complicity of the President to help the thug to prevent from facing justice.
The President is becoming more and more exposed of his whammy (i.e. jinx) conduct and why he is misusing his power to extend his arm to safeguard this third grade ruffian to continue in office is a dangerous precedent indeed.
